Our music is multifaceted, deeply rooted in progressive and metal, yet always evolving.
Over time, we have explored fusions with world music, baroque, oriental sounds, meditation themes, rock, and more. Each composition is a journey, weaving diverse influences into a sound that is distinctly Álaghom.
Here, you can explore our latest EP, selected singles, and martial arts videos, for which we have specifically composed the music to accompany and enhance the art.
EP “Return to the Beginner’s Mind” (2025 Wormholedeath Records)
In 2023, the band was commissioned to create the soundtrack for a documentary about the traditional Japanese martial arts school, Yasuragi Dojo NY. This project inspired them to produce a six-track EP titled Return to the Beginner’s Mind.
The concept for this EP blends progressive music with orchestral arrangements and Japanese musical influences, showcasing a softer side of Álaghom’s signature sound to complement the story of a traditional Japanese Dojo. Each track is rooted in Buddhist Zen principles and the warrior mindset of the Jinenkan Martial Arts Organization, focusing on concepts such as Fudoshin (Immovable Heart and Mind), Shoshin (Beginner’s Mind), Mushin (Empty Mind, Spirit, and Heart), Zanshin (Effortless Vigilance), and the opening of Satori (Self-Awareness).
The album’s progression flows from soft to more intense, guiding the listener on a journey filled with imagery and sensations, encouraging them to embrace the warrior spirit throughout life.
